From the Bride Love story: William interviewed for his residency program in Seattle Washington and Somerset Kentucky. As fate would have it he ended up in Somerset, and boy am I glad he did. He started his residency in July of 2017, at the same hospital I was working as a nurse. We hit it off immediately, but kept things friendly for a while. Finally in April of 2018 a mutual friend/coworker had asked me if I would have been interested in going out with Dr.Cagle. I first shook my head at the thought of the cliche nurse and doctor relationship, but said that I would, but that I didn't think he was interested. Little did I know he really was interested, and with a little nudge from our friend he ended up asking me out on a date. I have never been so nervous about a date in all of my life. Mostly because if it didn't work out the whole hospital would know and I didn't want all of that business. We had our first date on April 29th. He took me to an escape game, one where we ended up blind folded and handcuffed together (it was like he already knew me so well 😉), then out for sushi, and wrapped it up at the UK botanical gardens where we talked and laughed until the sun went down. It was perfect. I'm not sure what he had to say to his friends after the date, but I called my best friend and said "I could see myself marrying this guy", which was a huge shock because I had always said I would never get married. A couple months later we moved in together, and the rest is history. He proposed on December 27th 2018 at The Biltmore Estate because he knows Christmas time is my favorite. And now here we are, married and loving every second of it. I really couldn't have asked for a better man to get to spend my life with.
