From The Bride: When people say, love at first sight, that's about how ours went, except it was about love at third sight. When we first met, he had come to church, which was about a year and a half ago. We didn't talk more than just introducing ourselves. My sister had tried to set me up with him then, but neither one of us really had an interest. The second time we met, which was about a year later, it was actually at my sister's wedding, and he was the brother to the groom. We had to walk down the aisle together as Maid of Honor and Best Man. At the rehearsal for my sister's wedding, we talked some and I really thought he was funny and had a great personality, but didn't think anything of it.
I went home that night and hadn't thought another thing about him until the next day, (meeting number 3) at the wedding when we were talking about having to give speeches because neither of us had prepared one. Yeah, great siblings we are! So we played rock, paper, scissors to see who had to go first. And I won by the way, just throwing that out there. By this time, right up to the wedding starting, I was starting to catch myself wanting to talk to him more and be around him more. But it wasn't until after we walked back up the aisle after the wedding that I looked at him and it just hit me how cute he was! Then I definitely couldn't stop staring! We went through the picture taking and the whole time I was thinking of reasons why it wouldn't work, but no matter how much I tried to think of things of why it couldn't work, he just continued to talk to me the rest of the night, and I couldn't resist.
Little did I know, his friends and family were trying to talk him into going for me as well. It seemed everyone was rooting for us. The next night he texts me and I pretty much freaked out. We didn't text much that week but we decided to go on a date that weekend. I knew I really liked him, but I wanted to make sure that it was God's person for me. We both decided to pray about it to make sure it was the Lord's will before we moved on at all. We both felt pretty confident, and God gave us several confirmations that it was in his will. We got married in December, which was fairly fast, but I have never been so confident about something in my life! I can't wait to see what else God brings our way.
